Small Groups at Wesley Temple are a key way we help people grow spiritually and get connected relationally. These Groups provide an opportunity for people to find authentic community and deeper relationships that lead to a closer walk with God. We have small groups that meet weekly.

Parents Without Partners
Parents without partners provides single parents and their children support, guidance, understanding and respite. Childcare is provided. The small group provides the members the opportunity for personal and professional growth and the opportunity to network and share information and resources.
According to Craig Groeschel, pastor of LifeChurch.tv, we are living in the most spiritually poisonous time in history. In his book, Soul Detox: Clean Living in a Contaminated World, he outlines the various threats. This small group will read Groeschel’s book and discuss Toxic Behaviors, Toxic Emotions and Toxic Influences.
Community Dinner Program
Every Thursday from 5:00 pm-6:45 pm, Wesley Temple Church opens our doors to members of the community to enjoy a hot dinner. This hands on ministry opportunity provides for many members of our community a hot meal and an opportunity to experience the love of Jesus. It provides for the members of our church to share the love of Jesus.
Wesley Temple Mass Choir
Under the direction of Minister of Music, Mr. Walter Scrutchings, the Mass Choir leads the congregation in worship through music on the first and second Sunday of each month. The choir specializes in all types of music, from traditional hymns to contemporary gospel.
Voices of Worship
The Voices of Worship leads the congregation in worship through music every Sunday. The VOW is a small group comprised of worship leaders unafraid to praise and worship the Lord. All are welcome to join the VOW.
Financial Peace University
We all need a plan for our money. Financial Peace University (FPU) is that plan! It teaches God’s ways of handling money. Through video teaching, class discussions and interactive small group activities, FPU presents biblical, practical steps to get from where you are to where you’ve dreamed you could be. This plan will show you how to get rid of debt, manage your money, spend and save wisely, and much more!
FPU classes meet for around an hour and a half each week for nine weeks.
In addition to the highlighted ministries and small groups, traditional opportunities for service are available at Wesley Temple AME Zion Church including serving as an usher, youth usher, steward, stewardess, trustees, missionary and much more.
